Vaynor Park Game Shooting Estate by Bettws Hall
The road rises up from the gatehouse in the valley bottom through traditional parkland and eventually reaches the summit. It is here that you are graced with your first glimpse of the Hall, sitting proudly over its grounds. To say that the Hall is architecturally breathtaking and the views astounding would be an understatement.
We meet in the oak panelled Tack Room adjacent to the Hall, where the open fire is roaring and freshly brewed coffee served while the team arrives. Pegs are then drawn, the loaders introduced and we are off for the first drive.
There are great selections of classic high pheasant and partridge drives at Vaynor Park where typically guns stand in open pastures with woods high above. However, there are also many other contemporary drives like The Dams and Windy Corner which also offer a great challenge.
Vaynor Park is a beautiful shooting estate and the ancestral seat of the Corbett-Winder family. William Corbett-Winder is frequently out on a day’s shooting accompanied by his dogs. There is an array of top quality birds at Vaynor which will challenge everyone on the day. The mix of stately home, parkland and fantastic shooting is simply not to be missed.
